We would like to take this time to apologize to anybody/breeders we might offend with our words. We would like to let all who read this know that there are many good Boerboel breeders and owners out there that breed for the love of the dogs as well as their health.

Here at Canadian Boerboel Kennels we take the health and welfare of our dogs very seriously. The dogs come first to any potential buyer or interested homes. We personally travel every year to bring new bloodlines in from Southern Africa (South Africa, Swaziland and Mozambique). We travel to the farms an small towns where the bloodlines/genes have not yet been introduced into North America or the rest of the world to the best of our knowledge. We have the nice advantage of having family there to look for these bloodlines while we are not there to do it. Having dual citizenship gives us the opportunity to deal direct with the farmers, land owners and dog owners. This way we always know what dogs we are getting and if they have any health issues.

At Canadian Boerboel Kennels we feel very strongly against inbreeding or blueblooding. In our opinion this weakens the genes and bloodlines which in turn hurts the dogs as well as future bloodlines. We do not get involved with any breeders or organizations nor do we breed with them unless we have researched them to our satisfaction, once again the health of the dogs come first. The fact that we go out to the outskirts to find these dogs means that some of the dogs we import come with papers and some without papers. Many dogs are being sold with papers which have been reregistered a few times over which they are then bread with their same bloodline. If it is paperwork you are after we can make some up on our computer for you, but if it a Boerboel with a strong bloodline you want, we can help with that, we would rather be honest and tell you that we are into Boerboels for the dogs, not just for paperwork or money.

To sum it up, we breed Boerboels for the love of the dogs, not for profit, we dont try to get as big a dog as we can, we dont just sell to anyone, all our dogs are like family to us and we do the best we can to make sure that they as well as their future pups, no matter where they are get the life they deserve.

We hope nobody was offended with our comments, but once again our main concern is the dogs.
